Facts and Questions

What are Essential Oils?

Essential Oils are highly concentrated extracts (aromatic substances or “the essence”) found in the glands and cells of different parts of plants.

Are all essential oils the same and what’s the difference?

All essential oils are not the same.  Some oils are adulterated which mean they are not 100% pure.  They may be mixed with synthetic chemicals or use harsh chemicals to extract the oil.  Some may also just be fragrance oils which aren’t essential oils.

What do you mean by therapeutic grade or therapeutic quality?

Therapeutic quality means that the essential oils are tested for purity and include the ideal chemical profiles to offer health and wellness benefits. According to industry standards, there are no grades of essential oils, only pure or impure oils. The oils we use are 100% pure and ideal for therapeutic use.

What‘s the difference between certified organic and organically/wild crafted ingredients?

Certified organic ingredients are generally grown in a more controlled environment and aren’t exposed to the environmental stressors compared to organically/wild crafted which are grown in their natural habitat, or grown using organic practices in cases where organic certification is unavailable or impractical.  Both of these ingredients are free from additives, pesticides, and synthetic ingredients.

What are raw and unrefined ingredients and why do you use them?

Raw and unrefined ingredients aren’t heavily processed but may be filtered to remove organic particles.  No chemicals or solvents are used when ingredients are processed leaving the vital nutrients intact therefore retaining its healing properties.

Why are some of your ingredients difficult to pronounce?

What's the texture of your body butter and can I use it on my face?

Our whipped body butter has a light, fluffy, silky smooth texture and melts on contact.  A little goes a long way and it isn't greasy.  Most of our products are safe to use from head to toe but everyone’s skin is different.  Always do a patch test before using any product to check for skin sensitivity.

I recently purchased one of your scented products and noticed that it smells slightly different from the one I purchased 6 months ago.

Why is that and will it affect the quality of the product?

Our scented products are made in small batches to ensure quality.  When using essentials oils, scents may vary slightly depending on the soil and location where they were grown.  This doesn’t affect the beneficial qualities of the product.

Are your products heavily scented?

Our products are not heavily scented but keep it in mind that they do possess naturally occurring fragrances.  Most essential oil scents do not linger on the skin and are usually light.  Our products are meant for your personal use and experience.

Can men use your products?

Yes, men can absolutely use our products.  You might be surprised that most men who've tried our products loved the scented items.  If you're unsure of what scent to get we suggest purchasing our Try Me Collection.

Can pregnant women or individuals with health issues use your scented products?

Although everyone's body is unique, the ingredients in our products are considered to be (in essential oil terms) GRAS (generally regarded as safe).  Pregnant women and individuals under the care of a medical provider should always use caution with any product that contain botanical and or herbal ingredients. Individuals under the care of a medical professional should always consult with their provider prior to use.

I noticed your scented products have varying prices for the same size.  Why is that?

The ingredients in our scented products are made with 100% organic, organically crafted or wildcrafted therapeutic quality essential oils.  A significant amount of plant material is used to produce one drop of oil.  These aren't fragrant or synthetic perfumes that are created in a lab, they are from nature.  Some essential oils are significantly more expensive than others due to the amount of oil that can be produced from either the plant material, sustainability practices, location and or availability.  To put things into prospective, to produce just 1 drop of rose oil you need approximately 60 roses.
